This beautiful cat was a joy to paint. I used soft pastels (Rembrandt), pastel pencils (Stabillo, Pitt)k and Nupastel sticks. The work was done on 9.5 x 12″ pastel mat paper with reference to a photo from Unsplash. These cats are the largest member of the domestic cat families. You can see the start of the painting below:
