Sunday Drivers

There is always a story behind a picture. The pastel work I did of the three riders on a hot summer day was referenced from a picture I took many years ago at my son’s summer camp. I was looking through old pictures for inspiration and when I came upon this one it resonated with me right away for work in pastel. It contained the complexities of a horse, people and landscape all rolled into one.
