Friends – Acrylic

This is my most recent acrylic work.  I have included some work in progress pictures to show the evolution of this painting.  It was particularly challenging to paint because the light source was reflection coming from the ground in front of the young lady and her horse.  As well, it was a very sunny day – so lots of light everywhere.  I chose to add a darkened background as the original photo was in front of a stable area, however I wanted the focus to be on the horse and rider, without distraction from the background.  Products used include Golden Heavy Body Acrylics, Amsterdam Acrylics and Golden Glazing Mediums.
